The kissing structure that makes up the roof of the new King's Cross shopping centre makes construction headlines.
The two 1850s Victorian Coal Drops Yard buildings at King’s Cross, are in the process of being crowned with a bespoke sculptured steel roof - the image shows the ‘kissing point’ where the new roofs meet. This high-profile renovation project is part of the Argent development, and has been designed by Heatherwick Studio and Arup, with BAM Construction as the Principal Contractor.
The project is due for completion in the last quarter of 2018.
BCAL have been part of the prestigious King's Cross redevelopment for many years, acting as CDM Co-ordinator and Principal Designer/Adviser on several projects.
