SEGRO Charity Yacht Racing Challenge
On 21st September 2017, SEGRO held their 13th Charity Yacht Racing Challenge at Port Solent Marina, Portsmouth.
SEGRO chartered sixteen Sunsail Sunfast yachts, each with a crew of ten including their professional skipper. This year it was David Beezley's chance to represent BCAL and partake in the three races sandwiched around the buffet lunch. Unfortunately, David's boat came 11th, mainly due to being disqualified in the final race for jumping the start!
The prize-giving dinner in the evening saw the winning team awarded the John Watts Trophy.
BCAL are delighted to continue to be associated with the SEGRO Charity Yacht Racing Challenge, and are pleased to learn that the event raised £17,840 for the worthwhile causes of LandAid and Unicef.
