The project involved the provision of an extension to the existing school dining hall. The new facility, as well as providing additional seating accommodation, allowed for new catering equipment to increase the efficiency and time required serving meals, which enabled the school to implement a new timetable.
The extension was sited in a courtyard, with Grade II listed buildings on three sides. The design was developed in a modern style to provide a contrast to the traditional style of building around the courtyard.
As well as the building, the project involved remodelling the external courtyard paving and drainage
